I had to giggle when reading this because I feel like the plastic container diva as I'm always saving something. I have yet to make the attempt at cooking left overs. Usually what happens with them is they get put in plastic then in the refrigerator. Being a graduate student, I really don't have a lot of patience so I've been taking advantage of the left overs and it's been my lunch. When my husband comes home from work, we'll have dinner. When I start working again, that idea will change into something else.

I remember growing up as a teenager, it was just my mom and I so we could do things similar to this and it was simple and it did save on our monthly budget. A lot of times we were able to make a large Italian soup with some sort of meat then mixing all the left overs together in a crock pot. What made it perfect was a hard roll to soak up the juice.
